The Metalcraft an Woodcraft has a workforce of PWDs who produces mobility aids and Montessori materials. Through these workshops, the PWDs of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan is on the path to productivity and self-reliance. These workshops has become a way for TWHI to stabilize the employment of the existing workforce in the PWD sector and has opened employment opportunities to PWDs as it expands.
Through our sheltered workshops, Tahanang Walang Hagdanan produces a variety of affordable and quality items for export and local markets.
With these sustainable livelihood, TWHI helps decrease if not eliminate the number of pwds who turned beggars on the street or are being used for entertainment. Thus, TWHI is committed and determined as ever to maintain the training and employment services for PWDs by reaching out to local companies who can provide us with jobs.
